FHI 360 is an international non-governmental organization that, in Vietnam, promotes the health and well-being of the Vietnamese people, particularly vulnerable and marginalized populations. It works with the Vietnam Ministry of Health and other national bodies, as well as provincial and district-level health services to achieve project aims.

FHI 360 is currently implementing programs to address HIV prevention, testing, and treatment; combatting trafficking in persons; COVID-19; tuberculosis case finding and treatment; anti-microbial resistance; health system strengthening; maternal and child health and nutrition; and diagnostic and laboratory services.

The Meeting Targets and Maintaining Epidemic Control (EpiC) project is a five-year, global project focused on HIV, COVID-19, and combatting trafficking in persons using funding from the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief and the United States Agency for International Development. EpiC is seeking a qualified and highly motivated Vietnamese candidate to serve as Project Manager - USAID-supported Meeting Targets and Maintaining Epidemic Control (EpiC) project, based in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City.

Main responsibilities:

  • Lead social and behavior change communication efforts across the EpiC portfolio including working with government and civil society partners to craft and execute campaigns.
  • Oversee the creation of communications assets targeting diverse audiences.
  • Manage media engagement at events and support the development and execution of events.
  • Supervise communication officer and any communications consultants.
  • Define needs, develop scopes of work, and oversee the work of consultants.
  • Take on increasing responsibility for project reporting and development of various presentations and other summaries for the donor.
  • Represent organization at national and international events.
  • Develop manuscripts, presentations, and other knowledge products promoting successes, lessons learned, and knowledge gained across EpiC’s portfolio.
  • Facilitate collaboration and a supportive environment with implementing partners and other project staff.
  • Coordinate with the donor and Government of Vietnam partners to ensure alignment.
  • Contribute to ongoing business development efforts.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience and abilities for the position:

  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, communications, public relations, social work, social sciences administration or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • At least 10 years’ experience in management or technical implementation of international development projects in Vietnam, preferably in social and behavioral change communication.
  • Exceptional skills with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with USAID, PEPFAR, and the Vietnam Administration of HIV/AIDS Control preferred.
  • Well-developed written and oral communication skills in both Vietnamese and English.
  • Ability to travel as necessary.
