Project Leader Inclusion

The Norwegian Mission Alliance in Vietnam (NMAV) is based in Ho Chi Minh City. Our strategy focuses are Climate Change Resilience, income generation and inclusion of people with disabilities.

NMAV operates in Mekong with special attention to poor women, children, youth and people with disabilities. Our projects are implemented in close cooperation with local authorities, partners and beneficiaries.

NMA-V invites applications from highly qualified Vietnamese nationals for the position as: Project leader Inclusion (permanent position)

The main responsibility of this position will be to support and strengthen our current disability inclusion and inclusive education projects in some Mekong delta provinces. This position includes project planning and management, analysis and operational project related tasks. The project leader on inclusion will report to the province managers in Can Tho and Hau Giang, but there may also be school related activities in other provinces. She/he is part of our project operational team, and will interact with our other thematic areas related to climate change adaptation and community development.

We are seeking a highly qualified candidate with a relevant university degree in education, social work or similar. Experience in the field of inclusive education/ inclusion perception is an advantage. We require the candidate to have at least 2 years of relevant documented working experience with INGO/international development organizations, and strong knowledge of project management. The candidate should also have independent and team work abilities and strong skills in relationship building at various levels and need to have solid understanding on right based approach, gender and advocacy work. The position requires good English skills, both written and verbal and ability to travel frequently to the project sites.

NMAV is organized as a matrix organization. We expect our project leaders to be able to contribute in teams, take individual responsibilities and contribute with ideas and solutions in all components.

Place of work is Ho Chi Minh City, extensive traveling should be expected to the Mekong Delta.
