Project Design and Management Expert

The Beyond WTO Program was developed in response to a request from the Government of Vietnam for donor support to help with managing economic integration and the transition to a market economy in the period after Vietnam’s accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO). The Program has been constructed to enhance Vietnam’s capacity to sustain pro-poor growth and protect poverty reduction gains through implementation of Viet Nam commitments in the WTO.

The Program is funded by AusAID and DfID. Now the Office of Steering Committee (OSC) of Beyond WTO Program is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Project Design and Management expert.

Project Design and Management Expert
Responsibilities:
- Supporting, guiding agencies in preparing project proposals, concept note/detailed outline and sub-project documentation
- Supporting the preparation of the project appraisal documents
- Developing guiding documents on project management; proposing solutions to requests for design changes
- Supporting the monitoring and evaluation, reporting work
- Participating in the preparation of documents for meetings including the Steering Committee meetings
- Implementing other tasks assigned by the Director and Senior Program Co-ordinator

Qualification and experience
- University degree in economics or related disciplines;
- Must have at least 7 years experience;
- Demonstrated experience in program/project design including previous assessment, stakeholder consultations, defining organizational and financial requirements, logical framework analysis (logical frameworks, determination of development objectives, etc);
- Project management experience;
- Knowledge on economic reform, integration related issues is preferred
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
- Ability to work both as in a team or independently;
- Excellent spoken and written English;
- Familiarity with both Government and donor practices, modalities;
- Proficiency in using office computer software;
- Proactive and initiative; ability to work under pressure.
