 I. Background

The Centre for Supporting Green Development (GreenHub) is a Vietnamese, civil society organization under the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (Vusta) with oversight by the Ministry of Science & Technology, and with an CSO Registration Number A-1555. GreenHub’s Vision is the green development of Vietnam, and its mission is to connect communities and resources to embrace green lifestyle practices, sustainable production and nature conservation.

The project “Promote Circular Economy Solutions to Reduce Marine Plastic Waste in Can Gio, Ho Chi Minh city” funded by the Coca-Cola Foundation. The project aims to facilitate collaboration of consumers, recyclers and local authorities to pilot the new, innovative approach of Circular Economy and providing feedback for national policy adaptation.

GreenHub plan to recruite  the postion Project Coordinator as following:

II. Job Description:

Project Management and implementation

  • Be accountable for the day-to-day management and delivery of project activities
  • Ensure that the project delivers its activities on time and within budget in accordance with the workplan and budget
  • Coordinate project activities with project partners including city, district and local government agencies, business stakeholders/partners, local communities, and project consultants
  • Coordinate project’s project activities with project activities being implemented by project partners
  • Supervision and performance management of Project Field Officers, local partners
  • Ensuring project activities comply with donor contractual requirements regarding procurement, social and environmental impacts, fraud and ethics standards, etc.
  • Project planning, monitoring, evaluation and reporting
  • Prepare monthly activity progress reports
  • Prepare the bi-annual and annual donor reports
  • Ensure that MELP activities including data gathering, surveys, learning workshops, etc. are carried out as planned (KPIs tracking)
  • Communications and knowledge management
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality knowledge products
  • Work with Communications Officer to ensure that all project activities and knowledge products follow the project branding strategy and marketing plan
  • Work with the Communications Officer to produce regular communications materials from project activities such as web stories, briefs, etc.

Facilitating cross-functions activities

  • Check and reconcile financial records within assigned responsibility to ensure financial policies / procedures are respected and properly implemented
  • Provide training and build capacity for project officer if needed
  • Support new project development
  • Keep donor informed about the important events of the project and periodical progress
  • Prepare logistics arrangements for donors' field visits, if any.

III. Request

1.      Technical skills needed:

  • Have at least a Bachelor's degree, preferably in science, environment, solid waste management or related fields, having a Master degree is an advantage
  • At least 5 years of work experience in the environment, development or related work.
  • A deep passion for environment sustainability and development

2.      Personal Qualities Needed

  • Strong facilitation, communication and partnership skills
  • Explore new ideas, opportunities and partnerships for program and organization development
  • Think beyond the project framework and creatively about new ways to support GreenHub’s mission in the journey of sustainable development
  • Good teamwork skills
  • Enthusiastic, honest and trustworthy
  • Ability to prioritize with minimal supervision and work independently as well as function as a member of a team
  • Ability to work in an adaptive and flexible way
  • Good social media skills
  • Good reading/writing skills in English and Vietnamese
  • Good computer skills – Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
