Vacancy: Project Assistant – Alive and Thrive Project

Based in Ho Chi Minh City

They are looking for a Vietnamese national for the Project Assistant position of Alive & Thrive (A&T) Project. The successful candidate will be based in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) with travels to project locations.

Main Responsibilities:
- The Project Assistant (PA) is responsible for providing general administrative and program support to A&T project to ensure the quality implementation of project activities, particularly in the South region (Khanh Hoa, Tien Giang, Vinh Long, Ca Mau, Dak Lak, Dak Nong).
- The PA will assist both the A&T Project Managers and the A&T Regional Project Manager in project management and logistical issues to ensure the quality implementation of Save the Children A&T Program Activities in Vietnam and maintain effective communications and coordination with local partners and SC colleagues in main office and field Offices.

Key Competencies
- Bachelors degree;
- At least 1 year working experience, preferably in nutrition, maternal and child health care program;
- Effective Facilitation, Communication and Interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work independently, in small team and be flexible;
- Good writing and documenting project progress reports;
- Excellent in English (Spoken and written);
- Good communication skills, and team work;
- Excellent Computer skills – Microsoft Word, Excel, and relevant software for financial and database management;
- Secretarial & organizational skills;
- Demonstrated passion and commitment to development work;

Contractual conditions: 01 year contract.

Start date: ASAP, in May 2012
