The National Tuberculosis Control Programme – National Lung Hospital (NHL) is the leading hospital on Tuberculosis (TB) and respiratory diseases control and prevention. We are now preparing to implement Phase 2 of a project namely “The Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria Round 9 for TB control in Vietnam” for the 2013 – 2015 period.

Position Summary

Assist the Project Chief Accountant on financial issues of the project.

Main Tasks/Responsibilities

- Support chief accountant on financial management and project disbursement at central and local levels.
- Set up and manage accounting books as regulations of Vietnam and Donor
- Support to contact with banks, related Departments of Ministry of Health, Ministry of Finance etc.
- Prepare contracts, subcontracts with partners, implementing units etc.
- Update Guidelines on Financial management of the Government of Vietnam and Donor; disseminate and instruct CPMU members, project implementing units and local levels.
- Participate in the development of project financial budget
- Join project routine field trips
- Perform other duties if required
- Education and required qualifications
- University degree or equivalent in financial and accounting fields;
- 01 - 03 year experience in this position is an asset, preferably in international organizations, INGOs and/or bilateral organization;
- Good written and reading English skills
- Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Internet;
- Willingness to travel, work under pressure, and meet deadlines;
- Able to work independently as well as work in a team.
