Program Team Leader - Operations

Salary from $2200 per month + Benefits depending on experience

CARE International in Viet Nam works innovatively with national partners focusing on remote ethnic minority women and socially marginalized people.  We are looking for a Program Team Leader - Operations to join our senior management team.

As a senior member of the CARE Vietnam Program team, the Program Team Leader - Operations major responsibilities will be to coordinate and oversee the quality implementation of all initiatives, more specifically:

  • Oversees the quality, timely and coherent implementation of CARE Vietnam initiatives, in compliance with technical guidance, CARE, donor and government regulations
  • Ensures cohesive and efficient coordination between all initiatives, and with the Technical teams and program support teams, establishing and supporting efficient coordination mechanisms
  • Ensures technical know-how is applied in all initiatives
  • Represents CARE in Vietnam with partners, authorities and donors at different levels.
  • Support operations team to efficiently manage staff, budgets, and external resources effectively to meet goals
  • Coordinates the timely submission of reports to donors, CARE International, and Government, ensuring they are in full compliance with regulations, and coordinating the timely and relevant programmatic and technical inputs
  • Contributes to the development of new proposals and to setting program strategic direction and priorities.

Required qualifications:

  • At least 10 years experience managing development and/or emergency initiatives
  • Strong people management and leadership skills.
  • Strong/solid communication skills both verbally and in written form in English and Vietnamese.
  • Excellent project planning, change and time management capabilities.
  • Excellent analytical, judgment, problem solving and decision making skills.
  • A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace
  • Experience with remote ethnic minority women and socially marginalized people in Vietnam an asset
