Work you’ll do

As part of our IDO team working on Private Sector Development, you will work to help implement projects in Vietnam. You will participate to the team who advise, design, implement, and deploy industry solutions and programs that transform the industry. You will have the opportunity to exercise strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the chance to solve complex problems and communicate your findings. Finally, you will work independently and collaboratively in a team.

With our strategy on working with international organizations in Vietnam on Economic Growth and Private Sector Development, we are seeking individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world. We seek technical specialists with expertise in the following areas:

  • Private sector development and engagement
  • Institutional, SME, and/or business cluster capacity building and training, business mentoring
  • Business innovation, technology transformations, and intellectual property
  • Supply chain strengthening
  • Industrial Technology and Production
  • Business-enabling environment and policy reform
  • Entrepreneurial ecosystem building
  • Public-private partnerships
  • Access to finance and/or responsible investment
  • Strategic communications and outreach/Social Media
  • IT Platform Design & Development

Enough about us, let's talk about you

You are someone with:

  • Vietnamese nationality
  • A bachelor’s degree in economics, business administration, finance, public policy, or a relevant field is required; an advanced degree is preferred
  • Minimum of master’s degree (or higher) or equivalent years of relevant experience for mid-to-senior level positions
  • Minimum five years of experience required in private sector development, trade facilitation, investment, and/or a relevant technical area
  • Experience working on or with donor-funded programs is strongly preferred
  • Experience working on or with initiatives focused on supporting women- and/or ethnic minority-owned businesses highly desirable
  • Flexible, effective and customer-oriented communication skills, collaboration in a multi-cultural team
  • Professional verbal and written proficiency in English is required
  • Willingness and ability to travel within Vietnam
