Education for Nature-Vietnam (ENV) was established in 2000 as Vietnam’s first non-governmental organization focused on conservation of nature and the environment. Their mission is to foster greater understanding amongst the Vietnamese public about environmental issues of local, national and global significance, ranging from protection of wildlife and natural ecosystems to climate change. Positions available
Currently, ENV is looking for a qualified candidate for the position of Policy and Legislative Support Program Officer.
Description of the job:
- Research policy and legislative documents relating to wildlife management and protection
- Analyze and write recommendations on revisions of related policy and legislative documents
- Work closely with authorities and decision makers to provide recommendations of law enforcement on wildlife protection
- Coordinate activities/campaigns in support of the program
- Work in close cooperation with other ENV’s departments
- Other tasks as assigned by the Manager

Requirements
- Vietnamese national
- Research skills required
- Knowledge of government structure and mechanics (preferred)
- Law enforcement experience or training is beneficial
- Strong Vietnamese written language skills
- Fluent English written and verbal skills required
- Excellent communications skills and an ability to communicate and work with government partners
- Capable, dependable, confident, with excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work under high pressure and meet deadlines.
