Education for Nature-Vietnam (ENV) was established in 2000 as Vietnam’s first non-governmental organization focused on conservation of nature and the environment. Their mission is to foster greater understanding amongst the Vietnamese public about environmental issues of local, national and global significance, ranging from protection of wildlife and natural ecosystems to climate change. They employ creative and innovative strategies to influence attitudes and behavior, not only highlighting the need to protect Vietnam’s rich natural heritage and the living world around them, but also encouraging greater public participation in achieving this important and challenging task.

Positions available
Currently, ENV is looking for a qualified candidate for the position of Policy and Legislative Support Program Officer.
Description of the job:
- Research policy and legislative documents relating to wildlife management and protection
- Analyze and write recommendations on revisions of related policy and legislative documents
- Work closely with authorities and decision makers to provide recommendations of law enforcement on wildlife protection
- Coordinate activities/campaigns in support of the program
- Work in close cooperation with other ENV’s departments
- Other tasks as assigned by the Manager

Requirements
- Excellent Vietnamese and English language written and verbal communication skills
- Outward character and diplomatic skills
- Open minded and possess strong potential to quickly learn new ideas and adapt to ENV’s non-traditional way of working
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Knowledge of conservation issues (preferred)
- Knowledge of government structure and mechanics (preferred)
