Part-Time Vietnamese Volunteer

MEET-BIS Vietnam is looking for 1 part-time Vietnamese volunteer on administration and accounting to assist MEET-BIS team, based in Hanoi, Vietnam.

MEET-BIS project – General description:

MEET-BIS is the abbreviation for ‘Mainstreaming Energy Efficiency through Business Innovation Support’. MEET-BIS is a four-year project funded by the Switch Asia program of the EC and implemented by a consortium of two Vietnamese and three Dutch partner organisations: RCEE, IBCI, AdaPPPt, Aidenvironment and ETC Foundation. The project objective is to promote sustainable production of urban based small and medium scale enterprises (SMEs) in Vietnam. The MEET-BIS project aims to assist key private sector players to develop commercial markets for their energy and water efficiency products targeting SMEs.

Specific responsibilities:

- The volunteer will provide administrative and accounting support to MEET-BIS team to ensure the efficient project operation and implementation.
- Provide general administrative support including filing, sending and circulating mail, fax, photocopying, scanning, travel booking, visa preparation etc;
- Assist in accounting procedure, including checking financial reports, invoices, bills to make sure the accuracy in accounting,
- Assist in organizing project activities, including: trainings, seminars, workshops, and field trips etc;
- Assist with monitoring, purchasing office supplies; researching and choosing appropriate service providers;
- Perform other tasks as required.

Requirements:
- Senior students or fresh graduates with University degree in social science, business or relevant disciplines;
- Good communication skill in both English and Vietnamese;
- Responsible and pro-active attitude;
- Familiarity with administrative tasks;
- Basic IT application skills and information searching on Internet;
- Interested in learning and developing career in development project.

General accountability:
- Follow all MEET-BIS policies and procedures and donor rules & regulations;
- Commit to fulfill all the assigned tasks within the expected duration;
- Directly report to Ms. Van Anh – Project Assistant.

Learning opportunities:
- Though this is an unpaid position, the volunteer will have a variety of learning opportunities as below:
- Work in an English speaking environment;
- Take part in relevant project events (weekly team meetings, workshops, seminars, internal training etc);
- On the job training;
- Develop experience in an unique environment of both development and business;
- At the end of the volunteer program, s/he will get a Letter of reference from MEET-BIS project with his/ her performance result.

This volunteer program runs throughout the year, but the duration for each volunteer is 3 months only. In case of receiving more than 1 qualified candidate, we will make a waiting list of candidates for the next period.
