National Experts at UNDP Vietnam

UNDP Viet Nam seeks 03 individual national experts (a team leader/Resource Planning Specialist, a Water Resource Planning Specialist and an Ecosystem Services Specialist) to undertake a Scoping Study for implementing Functional Zoning (FZ) in Viet Nam- Project: Strengthening Capacity on Natural Resources and Environment Policy Development and Environmental Performance (NREP).

The objective of the scoping study is to lay the preliminary groundwork for the design and implementation of an FZ system in Viet Nam that will ensure a more scientific and cohesive basis for national and regional land use, marine spatial and resource planning, to boost green development, quality economic growth and international competitiveness by enabling more efficient use of natural resources, optimized delivery of ecosystem services, guaranteed ecological security, and an effective response to climate change.

It is required that (i) The Team Leader/Resource Planning Specialist will work for estimated 40 working days; (ii) The National Consultant - Water Resource Planning Specialist will work for estimated 20 working days  and (iii)  the National Consultant - Ecosystem Services Specialist will work for estimated 30 working days at home based and in Hanoi in the period from December 2013  to March 2014.
