Employment Opportunity for a Migrant Services Clerk
To be based in Ho Chi Minh City:

Major Duties: Under the direct supervision of the Head of Office and reporting directly to the Head of Unit of Australian Visa Application Centre (AVAC), the Migrant Services Clerk will be posted to the IOM operated AVAC in Ho Chi Minh City with a focus on front counter duties. The AVAC centre assists approximately 150 to 250 migrants per day.
More particularly, the Migrant Services Clerk will:

- Client Information
- Distribute application forms;
- Distribute information sheets and checklists regarding visa requirements;
- Answer basic telephone and email inquiries from clients including inquiries regarding the requirements for submitting visa applications and the location of client’s passport;
- Advise relevant travel agents of new visa application arrangements and any changes to visa requirements;

Receiving Applications
- Provide information to applicants on proper completion of application forms;
- Receive passports and supporting documents;
- Assist select agents with additional documentation submissions and returns;
- Record and dispatch applications and passports to the Ho Chi Minh City Visa and Citizenship Office (DIAC); 
- Accept additional documents, requested by the Ho Chi Minh City Visa and Citizenship Offices, from existing applicants;

Data Capture
- Lodge the application documents in the order requested by the DIAC offices.
- Transfer applicant information to the relevant DIAC office;

Fee Receipt
Advise applicants regarding fee information and collect visa processing and service fees;

Return Passports
Collect processed applications from the DIAC Offices; 
Return passports or requests for additional information to applicants. 

Reporting
Assist to maintain records of all applications and additional documentation received;

Overall / other duties and responsibilities
- Assist as necessary, with support activities on behalf of the IOM Canadian Visa Application Centre as well as other immigrant application program activities at the sub-office, as required. 
- Maintain professional appearance and demeanour at all times and maintain ability to communicate in both written and spoken English at all times.    
- Such other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Office or Chief of Mission.

Education/Experience Required: 
- Education/ Training: University Degree in Business Management, Marketing, Public Relations, Social Science or related discipline; or an equivalent combination of education, training & experience;
- Experience: Minimum 05 years of relevant professional experience in a similar setting & capacity; Working with procedures; Demonstrated ability to maintain accuracy & confidentiality in performing responsibilities;
- Competence/Skills: Excellent knowledge of English; Excellent computer skills, especially in Word & Excel; Strong interpersonal & intercultural skills; Excellent Customer Service Relations Skills; Excellent Presentation.
