Media/Press Relations Position

MDRI is currently looking for a full-time Media/Press Relations position to join our team. The position is expected to be responsible for managing communication between the organization and various media outlets and take charge of the organization’s PR activities.

Key responsibilities

The Media/Press Relations (MPR) position is expected to:

  • Compose press releases and news reports about the work of the Institute (Publication, workshops, training activities, etc.)
  • Ensure high quality presentation for the Institute’s products (reports, publications, etc.)
  • Manage posting of news on multiple channels, including the Institute’s website, other social media platforms, and public press.
  • Enhance media coverage and press relations between the Institute and media outlets
  • Keeping up-to-date of opportunities and all issues affecting the organization
  • Develop relations with clients and partners of the organization
  • Assist with the Institute’s various activities, including but not limited to event organization, training courses, etc.
  • Involve in brand/image development activities and PR for the Institutes’ outputs.

Qualifications

The MPR should have a Bachelor degree (or above) in Journalism, International Relations or related fields. Priority is given to candidates who have at least 2 years experience working in the field and an established network with the media.

The ideal candidates demonstrate these following skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral (in both English and Vietnamese);
  • Excellent working knowledge of IT and applications relating to communications;
  • The ability to manage multi-tasking and complex job with minimal supervision;
  • Strong organizational skills;
  • Creativity and taking initiatives;
  • Close attention to details.
