Aide et Action International (AEAI) is an international NGO, headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland.  AEA International began its programs in 1981 and is now working in more than 20 countries across Africa, Europe, South Asia, Southeast Asia and China to support the development of sustainable education projects with our belief in the universal right to a quality education. Each AEAI intervention is based around this ethos.

In Vietnam, AEA started working in 2003. Our approaches focus on early transformation during two time periods which are most critical in a child’s schooling, Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) to basic education. Over 15 years of experiences along with local communities, partner organizations, and governments, we have implemented a number of projects in various locations. We are currently recruiting a creative, enthusiastic and innovative candidate to fill the following position.

Job Title: Livelihood Project Manager

Department/Group: Program

Directly reports to: Country Program Director

Technically reports to: Country Program Director

Location: Hanoi – Vietnam

Travel Required: 25 - 40% to project sites and other countries

Key responsibilities :

Program Management: Mainly responsible for the overall coordination of jor orientation and vocational training programme in Bac Ha district, Lao Cai province

• Design, develop and provide necessary training for target communities to develop skills and capacities for livelihood strategies
• Establish and maintain links with stakeholders – employers, schools, training providers, Government departments, corporates and other relevant networks
• Identify skill shortage areas, possible career and transition programs and appropriate vocational training opportunities
• Ensure market analyses are conducted with full consultation and participation from all actors involved
• Ensure all vocational skills are well planned, have clear manuals delineating objectives, lessons, and outcomes
• Participate in developing and implementing baseline and endline surveys to assess the impact of the vocational training program.
• Provide the regular coaching/ mentoring on project management skills for field staff and other relevant technical areas for teachers and parents.
• Represent Aide et Action to participate in meetings and networking opportunities on the ground when needed.
• Any other related tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Fundraising and donor servicing

• Identify issues in the field that appeals to potential donors
• Engage in proposal and strategy development
• Be responsible for regular reporting to donors/sponsors
• Ensure that field visits conducted by donors/sponsors taken place in a professional way

Requirements:

• At least 4 years working experience in related fields. Experience in education project is preferred.
• Experience in Vocational Training
• Sound knowledge and experiences on Early Childhood Care and Education.
• 3-5 years working experience for INGOs preferred
• Previous experience in working with schools and department of education is expected
• Experience with program management
• Good project and time management skills
• Proven ability to manage, prioritize competing demands and meet deadlines
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and at the same time prove to be a team player

Education degree: A degree in Education, Project Management or other related fields.

Languages: Excellent command of English languages and knowledge of French is an asset.
