Vacancy: Labor Market Assessment Consultant

Save the Children is launching a new project “Skills to Succeed” to support at – risk youth in Danang and Can Tho City.

Now we are looking for a Vietnamese national for the Consultancy on labor market assessment as a part of project. The contract is expected to start from 15 April to 15 June 2014.

Consultancy Objective

For Out of School Youth (OSY)

  • Identify employment & self-employment opportunities for the out of school OSY to improve their current livelihood options.
  • Identify specific skills/capabilities needed for the OSY to engage in these opportunities.
  • Identify training sources to provide needed hard skills for OSY

For In School Youth (ISY)

  • Assess the barriers for graduates of ISY to gain employment or start their own business in the industry of their choice and/or to be successful in their employment
  • Identify the weaknesses in the Vocational Schools based on feedback from employers of ISY graduates.

For the project

  • Identify private sector partners to employ and/or train
  • Identify training partners to deliver hard skills training
  • Identify job-matching platforms that may be relevant

Key Competencies:

  • Experience in consulting and/or market research
  • Familiarity with Da Nang and/or Can Tho’s business community
  • Well-connected to Business and Trade Associations and other industry platforms.
  • Excellent market research and networking skills
  • Excellent communication skills
