The Centre for Sustainable Rural Development (SRD) is a National NGO which inherits experience of CIDSE’s 27 years working in poverty alleviation in Vietnam. They empower disadvantaged communities in rural and mountainous areas to sustainably manage their own livelihood systems, regardless of ethnic group, gender or religious belief. SRD currently focuses on sustainable agriculture, rural livelihoods, climate change, local governance and policy advocacy. SRD prioritizes the poor and the poorest in the mountainous and disadvantage communities.
Vietnam Belgian Credit Project - VWU is looking for an IT Officer, who will work closely with the international consultant and the Survey Officer to conduct comprehensive regular surveys on the delivery of financial services within VWU, analyze the data and provide appropriate feed-back and reports to all the stakeholders. Position requirements - Bachelor or preferably master degree in IT, with demonstrated skills in database management (SQL- Server 2008), and in Visual Basic.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION To strengthen the capacity of civil society actors on climate change mitigation, adaptation, and policy advocacy, the Embassy of Finland is funding a three-year, €222,000 capacity building project on climate change for the staff, management, and local partners of civil society organizations in Vietnam (Capacity building project). The Centre for Sustainable Rural Development (SRD) is coordinating the project, in collaboration with members of two civil society networks: the VUFO-NGO Resource Center’s NGO Climate Change Working Group (CCWG) and the Network of Vietnam Civil Society Organizations and Climate Change (VCSO&CC).
