Vacancy at Buôn Ma Thuot Site Office - Secondary Cities Development Project – Project Management and Implementation Consultant Support

PMIS is an ODA-funded project by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and is being implemented to renovate and improve urban environment, solid waste, urban upgrading through 11 infrastructure subprojects in three secondary cities in central region of Vietnam which are Buon Ma Thuot (Dak Lak province), Ha Tinh (Ha Tinh province0, and Tam Ky (Quang Nam province).

In the context of its implementation of the Secondary Cities Development Project, Black & Veatch International is recruiting one (01) Interpreter/Translator for the Project.

Specifically the Translator/Interpreter will:

• To translate official letters, contracts, planning documents, meeting minutes, administrative and technical reports, training material, legal documents, and other documents between English and Vietnamese;

• To provide interpretation service at meetings, workshops, conferences, training courses, and other events between English and Vietnamese;

• To accompany the Company’s experts and consultants to the field trips, providing interpretation and arrangement required for the field work;

• To assist Project Manager in communicating and liaising with Vietnamese counterparts and the other relevant parties;

• To assist the foreign experts in collecting, analyzing, and storing relevant data, information, communications reports, and other related materials;

• To record the project activities (notes, photos, videos, and others) and organize them systematically in the project network folder;

• To perform other duties as requested by  Team Leader

Academic Qualifications:

• University Degree in English. The person has sufficient language skills to serve as translator/interpreter

• Excellent written and spoken English and Vietnamese skills

• At least five years of professional and field experiences in translation/interpretation

Expected Start Date of Assignment:  As soon as possible or after 15 October 2017

Work location: Buon Ma Thuot City

Duration:  24 months with possibility of extension.
