Internship Opportunity

Operation Smile Vietnam is part of a global alliance of Operation Smile Foundations and Resource Chapters dedicated to providing free reconstructive surgeries to children and adults suffering from cleft lips, cleft palates and other facial deformities. Besides, we also conduct dental, cranio facial and micro treatment with thousands of children receive new smile each year. For 24 years representing in Vietnam, Operation Smile has been bringing hope to unfortunate Vietnamese children and their families to change their lives forever.

We are currently looking for Vietnamese nationals to fill internship positions 01 in Hanoi and 01 in HCMC to support Development Division.

Title: Development Intern
Reference: 6 months contract - based in either in Hanoi or HCMC with occasional travel to fields
Starting from: 15thJuly 2013
Supervisor: Development Director

1. Responsibilities
A.Development
- Collect fund either donated by donors or generated by partners
- Liaise with donors to timely thank to their kind donation with documents and information provided
- Accompany partners, donors and press to surgical missions
- Present  the team to visit donors and at partner’s events/activities as and where required
- Familiarize with the organization’s volunteers and enrich the relationship and activities initiated by  them
- Translate and develop the PR materials
- Frequently update the donors/partners and students’ database and maintain a proper filing system

B.Paperwork & logistics
- Arrange and prepare meetings, appointments and business trips
- Assist in completing procedure required by finance such as advance, expense report ect.
- Provide administrative support include filing, sending, circulating and responding mails, emails, fax, photocopy
- Update surgical mission schedule as well as other activities onto website, face book and other channels appropriate
- Other tasks required

2. Qualifications& Skills
- University Degree, major in Marketing or Business Administration is a plus
- Proficiency in English and Vietnamese (both oral and written).
- Proactive, responsible and details oriented
- Strong ability to work as a part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Constructive mindset
- Capacity to foresee issues and propose innovative and practical solutions
- Commitment to values and principles of the Operation Smile
