Call for Expression of Interest
for Qualified International Experts in the Field of Transport in Vietnam

The Aus4Transport Program (the Program) is an AU$30million grant facility provided by the Government of Australia through the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) to the Vietnam Ministry of Transport (MOT) to support and improve the development of transport infrastructure in three subsectors: roads, railways and navigable waterways. The Program objective is to increase investments in Vietnam transport infrastructure leading to an enhanced national transport network that supports economic growth and poverty reduction. 

The Program is being implemented through two activity streams: (i) Stream A: direct support to project preparatory studies, i.e., prefeasibility studies (PFS), feasibility studies (FS) and detailed design and documentation (DDD); and (ii) Stream B: activities leading to revised policies, guidelines and practices to address issues in project development and financing

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, international travels remain restricted in Vietnam, limiting the international assistance required for the program. Aus4Transport is looking for qualified experts with international experience who are currently based in Vietnam (Hanoi preferably) to fulfil future requirements.

We are seeking expressions of interest from experienced Engineers in the fields of (Job Code: 1038)

• Highways
• Pavement
• Geotechnical
• Bridge/Drainage Structure
• Hydrology/Hydraulic
• Axle Load Control
• Road Safety

In addition we are seeking expressions of interest for qualified Specialists in the following fields (Job Code: 1039):

• Environment
• Social Safeguards
• Transport Economics
• Monitoring and Evaluation
• Communication Specialists.

Qualification criteria:

• Currently living in Vietnam
• Have minimum of 5 years of experience in the relevant field
• International experience with ADB, WB, DFAT, JICA, or similar
• Relevant experience with MOT will be highly regarded.
