Intern

Based in Ho Chi Minh City, under the overall guidance of the Head of Office (HoO) and direct supervision of the Project Officers (PO), the Vietnamese Intern will be responsible for assisting the POs in coordinating and implementing IOM’s on-going project activities. More particularly, s/he will be mainly tasked with assisting the PO in preparing, proposing and implementing climate change activities in the Mekong Delta. 
In particular, the Intern will be responsible for:
1. Preparation for the proposed Climate Change project in the Mekong Delta
- Conducting literature review on existing studies, government regulations and planning for climate change relevant to Viet Nam and the Mekong Delta;
- Liaising with competent local authorities and/or research institutes to explore and collect information relevant to climate change in general and the proposed project in particular;
- Liaising with the Project Team in Ha Noi, especially the Project Development Officer, in activities relevant to project formulation.

2. Assisted Voluntary Returns and Reintegration (AVRR)
- Assisting the Head of Facilitated Migration (MF) in AVRR activities;
- Providing assistance to returnees in drafting relevant and feasible reintegration business plans and undertaking monitoring field trips as required;
- Manage the queries from other IOM missions.

3. Others
- Assisting in fund raising activities for the project;
- Attending meetings as assigned by POs;
- Assisting in updating website contents relevant to projects implemented in Southern Vietnam;
- Assisting in organizing events and other promotional activities;
- Preparing reports as required by donors and/or POs;
- Participating in project activities and trainings as appropriate;
- Facilitating project’s administrative and financial procedures;
- Assisting any other relevant tasks as may be required.

4. Qualifications
- University degree in Development, Environment, Social Sciences.
- Knowledge and/or working experience of climate change is an asset.
- Conversational Vietnamese is a must.
- Good command of English.
- Fresh Graduates or maximum two year working experience.

The Intern will receive Monthly Subsistence Allowances and be covered against occupations accidents and illnesses in accordance to IOM’s policy.
