RECRUITMENT FOR INCOME GENERATION OFFICER

Good Neighbors is an international, non-profit humanitarian organization that plans, implements and raises funds for the provision of services in child education, community development, health, sanitation, and disaster relief projects. Currently Good Neighbors has works in 37 countries, supporting approximately 17 million people, including about 10 million children.

Good Neighbors International in Vietnam (GNI) is implementing Community Development Projects (CDP) based on child sponsorship in 4 provinces: Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, Hoa Binh and Thanh Hoa. GNI in Vietnam sponsors about 10,000 children and implements community development projects (CDP) in education, water & sanitation, income generation sectors in 7 different areas of Vietnam.

Location: Tan Lac district, Hoa Binh province

1. KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

Internal: Country Director, General Manager, PMs, Project Officers

External: GNI’s Donors, Partners, Governmental. Officials, INGOs, Communities.

2. MAIN DUTIES

1. Regular tasks:

• Conduct survey to study eco-social conditions, resource for development in the locale, propose, and design suitable program and activities;
• Be involved in preparation of POA, make annual plan for IGD Division;
• Contact and collaborate with other staff of IGD Division and other Division at CDP and HO to carry out activities in an effective manner;
• Contact with local partners to ensure implement program effectively. Guide and ensure local partners to adhere to working rules of GNI while implementing activities;
• Manage and promote disbursement progress of in-charge activities;
• Consult PM and HO regarding efficiency of adjustment method for program/activities (if any);
• Perform other tasks assigned by PM and Division Manager of HO.

2. Quyet Chien and Lung Van Project:

• Directly coordinate and implement IG field activities of Quyet Chien and Lung Van.
• Research, design, and develop suitable activities to support cooperatives, IG groups in Quyet Chien and Lung Van Commune and Lung Van training center in terms of both production and consumption;
• Support management team of cooperative of IG group to organize activities and manage group and cooperative in an effective way;
• Implement activities upon request of line managers.

3. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Education: University degree in Economics, Agriculture, Agricultural Development, and other related fields

Work experience

• At least 1-year relevant working experience.
• Experience and skills of project management, including planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and partnership;

Skills

• Ability to work independently and work with the team;
• Good organizing skills and interpersonal skills;
• Good English language skills in writing & speaking;
• Good skill in computer use

Attitude

• Sociable, responsive, committed working with GNI at least 2 years
• Accountable and transparent.
