JOB TITLE: Finance Volunteer

LINE MANAGER: Finance Controller

WORK LOCATION: Ha Noi – Country Office

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

This position is a member of CARE Vietnam finance team, supporting the team in various accounting and finance related tasks to ensure the optimum operations of the team. This position bases in Ha Noi, with travel required to project sites if needed.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Record data to Bank book and Cash book on the daily basis
  • Stamp & filling financial documents (bank, cash, Journal voucher, bank statement, etc)
  • Label filling docs
  • Scan intra company documents
  • Provide general administrative support including key in financial information into SUN system, filing, sending and circulating mail, fax; photocopying, travel booking, helping to prepare float accounts, payment vouchers etc.
  • Provide informal interpretation and translation of letters and documents.
  • Attend meetings, take notes and prepare meeting minutes.
  • Provide logistical support in the organisation of trainings, workshops, and field trips etc.
  • Travel to field to support finance officers during internal audit/monitoring visit in short notice (if any).
  • Support to get and file Payment vouchers and Journal vouchers during and after project audit.
  • Timely collect staff time sheets from Admin/HR and check to ensure the accuracy.
  • Support to verify supporting documents/ payment voucher
  • Perform others tasks as required.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Relevant diploma, certificate and/or Vocational Training;
  • Ability to follow standard policies, procedures and processes;
  • Demonstrated good interpersonal skills, detail-oriented, positive working attitude, well-organized;
  • Demonstrated ability to take direction and to work as part of a team and to learn new skills and knowledge;
  • Good communication skills in Vietnamese and English;
  • Intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Office and numeric skills; and
  • A willingness to learn about CARE, gender equality and women’s empowerment activities;
