Finance Controller

CARE Vietnam is looking for a Vietnamese candidate to fill the position of Finance Controller as below information.  Please help to share information out with attached JDs of position as many as possible.

POSITION INFORMATION

The Finance Controller is responsible for managing the overall CARE Vietnam mission budget, including ensuring accounting procedures and policies are being adhered to and financial management processes, practices and systems are fit for purpose, transparent and efficient. The position will provide effective financial management of the Vietnam Office operations through building a strong team of finance staff encouraging collaboration and mutual understanding with program staff. Finance Controller also takes a lead role in building partners’ financial management capacity. As a member of the Country Office Senior management team, the Finance Controller contributes to the overall development and attainment of long term strategic objectives. The position report to Country Director.

SELECTION CRITERIA

• Minimum of Bachelors Degree with a major in Accounting or Commerce/Economics, qualification in an accredited accounting body (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, etc) and extensive strategic and operational experience in accounting and financial management with an international NGO or similar organisation.
• Demonstrated experience of +10 years in leadership, strong people management and interpersonal skills including the ability to develop harmonious teams in a cross cultural context.
• Demonstrated high level organisational and time management skills, ability to respond effectively to challenges, manage workflows and balance competing priorities.
• Well developed written and verbal communication skills including the ability to maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience in capacity building of staff and local partners, proven ability to lead, coach and motivate staff and work effectively in a cross functional, diverse and busy team environment with minimal supervision.
