EXPECTED VACANCY: Expatriate Locally Engaged Designated Officer (LED)

The Department of Home Affairs is inviting applications for two LED positions, which are full-time position, classified at Level 4 (LE4). The closing date for applications is Monday, 9 August 2021, 5:00 pm (Ho Chi Minh City time).

For any application to be ELIGIBLE and therefore considered, it must include the following:

1. CV (Resume) on e-Recruit system outlining previous relevant work experience in English language. Please include the names and contact details (phone number and email addresses) of two referees in the CV.
2. A Statement of Claims addressing each selection criterion in no more than 250 words per criterion. In addressing each criterion, please ensure that you provide example(s) based on previous experience where available, to demonstrate your capability.
3. Evidence of current Australian Government security clearance (if held).
4. Evidence of citizenship (Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Canada or the US).

Selection Criteria

1. Strong program management skills and the ability to meet goals and deadlines.
2. Strong teamwork skills.
3. Demonstrated ability to provide a quality professional service, apply ethical work practices and maintain integrity in all aspects of work.
4. Ability to interpret and apply complex legislation and policy to support good decision-making and provide reliable advice to stakeholder.

The successful applicant will be offered an initial contract for a 12-month period, with the possibility of a further contract. The full-time monthly gross salary ranges from VND 29,783,171 to VND 32,932,734 plus an additional monthly allowance of USD 1,250 (paid in VND according to the exchange rate published by ANZ bank).

Employment will be subject to satisfactory medical and police/security checks. The actual start date will be confirmed following the outcome of the police checks.

For prospective expatriate employees, please note that all costs associated with the employee’s relocation to and stay in Vietnam are the employee’s responsibility. This includes visa fees, travel to Vietnam, quarantine hotel costs on arrival and COVID-19 tests. The employee will also be responsible for organising their own residential accommodation during their period of stay.
