ESL Teacher

ESL Teacher required to teach in Long Bien District, Hanoi
Under the Australian Defence Force English Language Project
Part-time/Full-time
Start: 17 October 2016
ESL TEACHER: Required to teach 25 hours per week

DUTIES STATEMENT:

Duties will include: instruct on English Language courses at Military Unit 871, Nguyen Van Cu, Long Bien district, Hanoi; participate in the conduct and administration of courses and workshops; work as a member in a team; provide input into the design and development of curricula; teaching of English as a Second or Other Language (TESOL) course materials and on-line learning materials; and undertake other associated duties as directed by the Australian Defence Cooperation Education Officer (DCEO).

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

• Qualified ESL teacher with a degree and a formal TESOL/CELTA qualification.
• At least two years of ESL teaching is preferred and beginner teachers need not apply.

SELECTION CRITERIA:

1. Demonstrate an understanding of current ESL teaching methodology.
2. Demonstrated experience in TESOL for adults across a range of levels.
3. Demonstrated organisational skills in an educational setting, including the ability to determine priorities and manage workloads, while displaying initiative and flexibility.
