RECRUITMENT FOR EDUCATION PROTECTION OFFICER

Good Neighbors is an international, non-profit humanitarian organization that plans, implements and raises funds for the provision of services in child education, community development, health, sanitation, and disaster relief projects working in 45 countries.

Good Neighbors International in Vietnam (GNI) is implementing Community Development Projects (CDP) based on child sponsorship in 4 provinces: Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, Hoa Binh and Thanh Hoa. We focus on education, water & sanitation, income generation sectors in 6 different areas of Vietnam.

1. KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

Internal

External

Country Director, General Manager, Managers/Officers in HO , PMs, Project Officers

GNI’s Donors, Partners, Governmental. Officials, INGOs, Communities.

2. MAIN DUTIES

1. Coordinating focal point of the Youth Development of Capacity Program (YDC)

a. Managing, operating and supervising the activities of the YDC program.

b. Develop the YDC program according to the agreed plan in the period of 2021 – 2026:

  • Complete the annual program evaluation tool
  • Coordinate with localities to evaluate the quality of clubs every year
  • Organize training to improve the capacity of the Club’s coaches.
  • Adjust and complete the program of Primary Discovery Club according to the results of the pilot phase
  • Contact to consult and coordinate to build the program of Secondary Discovery Club.

c. Develop ideas and suggestions to improve the quality of the program:

  • Connecting existing clubs with other programs/clubs outside the project to learn and create networks.
  • Develop ideas for other capacity development activities for children outside the club program.
  • Build a network of partners for the program...

d. Building and promoting GNI's YDC brand based on the established plan

e. Coordinate with Planning and Strategy Department to develop project proposal/fundraising for YDC

2. Coordinating focal point for Reading Enrichment Program (RE)

a. Managing, operating, and supervising the RE program's activities (building and setting up the libraries, implementing soft activities to develop reading culture in schools and the communities).

b. Develop RE program according to the agreed plan in the period of 2021 - 2026.

  • Coordinate with consultants and localities to assess input for the new period 2022 - 2027.
  • Develop and standardize training courses for schools, teachers, librarians at schools and the community.
  • Adjust the program's Guideline according to the built plan.

c. Develop ideas and suggestions to improve the quality of the program.

  • Collaborate with local staff to develop new ideas so that annual activities can be implemented more creatively and effectively.
  • Build a network of partners for the program...

d. Building and promoting GNI's RE brand based on the established plan

e.  Coordinate with the Planning and Strategy Department to develop project proposal/fundraising for RE.

3. Support other activities as required by GNI

  • Support local office in appropriate programs/projects/activities
  • Perform other tasks assigned by managerial levels;

3. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Education: University degree in education (primary education, preschool education...., pedagogy, educational management), social work, psychology and other related majors

 

Work experience

  • Minimum 1 year of similar role
  • Have experience working with children and understand about children development and psychology
  • Able to work under high pressure.

 

Skills

  • Ability to work independently and work with the team;
  • Good English language skills in writing & speaking;
  • Plan-making and presentation skill;
  • Strong interpersonal and team work skills.

Attitude

  • Sociable, responsive
  • Committed working with GNI at least 2 years.
  • Enthusiastic in work
  • Truthful and accountable
