Publication Production for SNV REDD+ Programme 2014/2015

Overview

SNV’s Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation (REDD+) The REDD+ Energy and Agriculture Programme (REAP) teams are seeking a design company to assist with producing high-quality publications. The successful candidate will need to have a high proficiency in:

  • English proof-reading, preferably by native speaker(s), with proven editing experience 
  • Designing publications that are highly appealing to international audiences
  • Proven track records of producing high-quality publications of varying lengths and style

The successful candidate (s) will be offered a one-year framework agreement with SNV on producing publications.

Background & requirements

SNV’s Reducing Emissions through Deforestation and Forest Degradation (REDD+) programme has first been implemented in Vietnam in 2009 and since that expanded its projects to a broader focus on landscape solutions within the agriculture as well as the energy sector. The REDD+ Energy and Agriculture Programme (REAP) contains of four key components, (i) knowledge development, (ii) building SNV capacity, (iii) demonstration through contextualised solutions and (iv) partnerships for impact at scale. Our SNV REAP pilot sites are in Latin America, West Central Africa, Indonesia and Vietnam with focus on a variety of commodities, such as coffee, cocoa, palm oil and aquaculture.

There is also a growing need within SNV REDD+ to ensure that the publications are produced to a high standard in both terms of layout and content.

Outputs

  • Proof-reading and designing of publications for SNV’s REDD+ Programme, in compliance with SNV’s branding and co-branding guidelines

Requirements

  • Proven track records of producing high-quality publications
  • Proven experience in English proof-reading and designing high quality reports, research papers, brochures and other publications suitable for international audiences
  • Provision of cost estimates for each type of publication, based on the number of pages, photo sorcing, graphics redrawing, etc. (the more detailed the costing, the better).

Timeline

One-year framework agreement with SNV, effective from the date of signing.

Proposals should be sent to Ms. Nguyen Dao Tuyet Nga at [email protected] by 28 June 2014. Proposals should include a cover letter of interest, CV’s of key staff, indicative cost estimates for design, proofreading/editing, and some electronic examples of publications designed by the company.
