Consultant/Consultant Team to Develop Documentary Film on Parenting Model Scaling up Proces

Organization: Plan International Vietnam, re-established in 1993, is an international child-centered community development organization working in 73 countries. Plan is working in partnership with local people; organizations and government bodies to help children in Vietnam meet their basic needs as well as expand their opportunities to reach their full potential.

Project: With the support from Belgium government, Plan International Vietnam (Plan) has cooperated with Vietnam Women Union (VWU) to implement the project which will be implemented from July 2017 to December 2021 across 9 communes in Kon Tum and Lai Chau provinces. The project have two components. Each one has a specific objective but they are strongly connected and operate as a continuum within the education sector, targeting young children in ethnic minority areas. First component: young children (0 to 8 years old) assert their right to high-quality education and care to ensure a smooth transition to primary school. Second component: children in primary and lower-secondary schools (from 6 to ±15 years of age) can safely study in a resilient environment increasing the awareness, the knowledge and the involvement of students and communities in environmental protection, climate change adaptation and disaster risks reduction.

The Vietnam Women’s Union has been identified as key strategic partner of this project. The project benefits from WU’s long experience in education and community empowerment, from its extensive, in-depth coverage of the country’s provinces, and its long experience of education and early childhood issues. WU has committed to a highly recognized influence at provincial and national level using strong evidences from the partnership program with Plan in the areas of ECCD.

Building on VWU efforts to date, Plan wants to support the Vietnam women’s Union to leverage the impact of its parenting education through documenting the process of scaling up parenting model and also lessons learned from it. This film/ documentation aims at showing the evidence – based of the process and lessons learned of replicating parenting model by VWU. This film will be used as one of the visual document  for enhancing parenting program quality and outcomes as well as advocacy tool for scaling up the parenting education as a national program framework.  Plan International Viet Nam is seeking a qualified and experienced consultant/consultant team to develop documentary film on Parenting Model Scaling up Process.
