You are requested to submit in both English and Vietnamese a proposal for service provision of external evaluation of the project entitled above. Your proposal could form the basis for contract between you/your team and AAV. Your proposal should address the Terms of Reference (ToR) attached herewith which describes the requirements necessary to be met and includes, but not necessary to be limited to, the followings:
WWF, one of the world's largest independent conservation organizations, has a global network active in 100 countries. From its Greater Mekong Programme Office in Hanoi, WWF manages a wide array of conservation projects in Cambodia, Lao PDR, Vietnam and Thailand in the forest, freshwater, marine/coastal and species priority areas.
The Grey-shanked Douc (Pygathrix cinerea) is endemic to Vietnam, occurring in only five provinces in the central region of the country. This species is classified as Critically Endangered (IUCN 2008) and considered one of the world’s 25 most threatened primates (Mittermeier et al 2007). Overexploitation (hunting) is the primary threat to doucs in Vietnam.
