Organization/Project Overview: Plan is an international humanitarian, child centred community development organization without religious, political or governmental affiliation. Plan’s vision is a world in which all children realize their full potential in societies that respect people’s rights and dignity. Plan in Vietnam re-established its presence in the country in 1993 and is now working in 145 communes/wards in 33 districts situated in 15 provinces in northern and central Vietnam. The program directly impacts around 226,000 children and their families.

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION The Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids (CTFK) is one of five coordinating partners for Michael R. Bloomberg’s $375 million Bloomberg Initiative to Reduce Tobacco Use. The initiative aims to reduce tobacco use in low and middle-income countries, where more than two-thirds of the world’s smokers live. As part of this initiative, the Campaign operates a global advocacy resource center to provide accurate public information about tobacco use and effective tobacco control interventions and assists advocates and government with strategic planning, resources and technical assistance to achieve policy change. These resources include policy, research, media, legal and grassroots expertise and support.
