Vacancy: Consultant for Water Safety Needs Assessment in Vietnam

Save the Children seeks a qualified professional to lead a Water Safety Needs Assessment in Vietnam. The assessment will be focused on understanding the risk of drowning in floods as well as the risk of children drowning in everyday life, and will make practical programming recommendations. Save the Children will use this piece of work to develop a highly impactful water safety program that will complement existing water safety programs in Vietnam

Consultancy special tasks:

1. Identify current situation for children drowning in Vietnam
2. Synthesize existing information on flood risks
3. Review lessons learnt for past and present Water Safety and drowning prevention programs
4. Make programming recommendations

Key Competencies:

· Prior experience in participatory research methodology;
· Familiar with child-focused interventions and rural context in Vietnam;
· Strong conceptual skills and experience in logical framework;
· Strong spoken and written English.
