Consultant Team for Assessing Costs of REDD+ Mitigation Activities and Preferences for Payment Formats

SNV is seeking a qualified and experienced team to conduct the three activities of the Focus Group Discussions (FGD) over the period of September and October 2012 alongside of the Project Manager. Results from this work will be directly used alongside of similar activities conducted in Vietnam, such as those conducted by SNV for the UN-REDD Programme1 to help inform the process for designing pro-poor benefit distribution systems (BDS) for REDD+ in Lam Dong, and more widely across Vietnam.

The FGD will be conducted in 3 formats;

1. rapid assessment of costs and benefits for landholders of undertaking REDD+ mitigation activities
2. assessment of REDD+ benefit delivery formats
3. assess preferences for payment formats using choice experiment techniques

Field time is seen as a necessary component of this activity. Reporting can be completed in Hanoi or remotely.
