Terms of Reference for Communication Officer

1. Background

The Center for Creative Initiatives in Health and Population (CCIHP) is a social organization working mainly in the field of public health and social science (see our website at http://ccihp.org). CCIHP is preparing to implement Transition to Scale phase of the project “Smartcare: support children with autism and other developmental disabilities reach their full potential” (Project SMARTCARE) in the period from 2019 to 2020. The project aims to improve the early screening and intervention for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in Vietnam, in order to support them reach their full potentials”.

A communication officer working full –time in one year with an opportunity of extension based on work quality will be hired to manage and implement the communication activities of the project.

2. Responsibilities

  • Managing and administering project’s website, fan pages and other project’s social media channels
  • Collaborating with external communication and event agencies to develop and implement project’s communication activities.
  • Developing contents for communication activities including: press releases, communication products as short films/video, photography of communication campaigns and events as well as online posts on fan pages.
  • Proactively planning and developing advertising and communication strategies for project and organization, especially online communication and social network.
    Take advantages of the project’s and organization’s opportunities to create effective communication and branding activities. Developing and managing communication campaigns.
  • Administrating and updating web contents developed by technical team on project’s website
  • Participating and monitoring project’s communication activities implemented by partners. Organizing meetings and reviews with partners during the project period to ensure all communication activities completed on time with suitable target audiences and to archive project’s goals effectively
  • Collaborating with M&E team to develop M&E plan for communication activities and oversee efforts to increase both quantity and quality of reviews/interaction on online social networks.
  • Shooting videos for online training lessons, videos for caregivers in collaborate with technical team
  • Using footage to make/edit visual videos for training lessons and collaborating with professional filming agencies/freelancers to finalize products
  • Supporting project coordinator to implement project activities to ensure all activities completed on time
  • Assist with other major project activities as required

3. Requirements

  • Education on a bachelor degree, prefer public relation, journalism, marketing and other related degree
  • Strong verbal and written Vietnamese and English language skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to work in team and independent
  • Significant experience creating digital content, using social media management tools
  • Significant experience using online marketing tools and methods to promote SEO
  • Able to use Google Adwords, Facebook Ads
  • Demonstrated understanding of social media, including current trends
  • Basic design, photography, and videography skills
  • Creative, innovative, and boundary-pushing mindset

Bonus Points

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
  • Video editing skills
