SNV has been working in Vietnam since 1995. The main focus of our work is in Agriculture and Forest Products, Water Sanitation & Hygiene, and Renewable Energy including REDD+(Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation), with approaches such as value chain development and inclusive business cross cutting. In 2010 SNV established a Business Development Unit (BDU) in Vietnam for the first time, focusing on securing funding from a range of donors, including multi and bi laterals, trusts and foundations, embassies, and corporates.

Responsibilities
Business Development Coordinator is a member of the senior management team, responsible for Business Development, Quality Assurance and Monitoring functions. This includes identifying, negotiating and securing business development partnerships as well as embedding best practice on business development and quality assurance processes, tools and systems.

- Business Development strategy and support process for business development
- Coordination of proposals and bids to institutional (multi and bi lateral), trust and foundations as well as corporate donors
- Together with Program Leaders build and maintain a strategic network with donors and partners
- Business development and Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) compliance training and coaching
- Monitoring contract compliance and ensuring quality
- Oversight of SNV’s internal M&E systems
- Oversee consultancy assignments
- Contributing to developing and implementing organisation-wide priorities
- Line management of Communication Officer and Monitoring & Evaluation Officer positions

Candidate profile
- Excellent English language skills (Native English speaker is plus)
- Excellent writing skills
- Master Degree in international development or equivalent.
- 5 years of relevant work experience with a proven track record in fundraising
- Strong networking skills 
- Strong negotiation skills
- Results oriented
- Computer skills in MS-applications (Word, Excel, Internet, Email)

Contract Duration: SNV Vietnam offers a one-year associate consultancy contract with the possibility of extension and a competitive salary package.
Desired start date: 1st March 2012

Educational facilities: There are international schooling systems up to IB level in English and French in Hanoi.
