TITLE: Business Development Associate

Operation Smile is charity non-governmental organization with its head office in US providing free life changing surgeries to children born with cleft lips and cleft palates. Operation Smile Vietnam (OSV) firstly came to Vietnam in 1989, and since its inception, thousands of under-privileged children of Vietnam have had chances to transform their lives through surgical missions across the country.
 
GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
The incumbent is based in Hanoi and responsible for designing, coordinating and developing in-country student programs and non-medical volunteer management activities. The incumbent is also required to collaborate with the partners/colleagues to build up and maintain sound partnerships and relationships with prospects, local authorities while exploring new opportunities for sponsorship/partnership and development.
 
KEY FUNCTIONS:
 
Student Program:
- Manage student volunteer documents and data, and their duties at assigned missions.
- Design, build, coordinate and facilitate OSV student clubs’ activities in Vietnam (including training workshop/conference, awareness and fund raising event for OSV and other related events).
 
PR & Marketing:
- Co-work on designing and developing the website, PR materials like leaflet, factsheet, e-newsletter, annual report, and other social networks: facebook, twister, etc.
- Maintain good relationships with the local press & media outlets and closely collaborate with them to strengthen dissemination and promotion of the organization.
- Collect coverage and recognition on all related activities: surgical missions, fund-raising events, testimonies and donors.
- Co-work to develop detailed marketing plans that help to cultivate new sponsorship/partnership opportunities.
 
Development:
- Collect necessary information and support the Departments’ Managers to create and implement development plan.
- Build sound relationships with donors & local government authorities to ensure that the organization is a part of their strategic partners.
- Frequently and properly update database of all partners/sponsors.
- And other tasks upon requested.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
- University (BA/BS) graduate
- 2-3 years working experience
- Excellent leadership, management, interpersonal/social and communication skills
- Multi cultural understanding, willing to learn, mature and able to work under pressure
- Exceptional time management skills and problem solving are a must
- Team spirit, flexibility, commitment, initiative and creativity are required

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- Experience in an international NGO is a plus
- Multi-lingual is helpful
