Organization Overview Founded in 2006, Action or the City is a young, dynamic and innovative local non-governmental organization. Our programs now focus on three key areas: (i) promoting a sustainable lifestyle through behavior change projects in workplaces, neighborhoods, and in schools; (ii) supporting the production and consumption of organic produce and (iii) improving public spaces. The project "Improving quality basic education for ethnic minority children in three disadvantaged provinces in Vietnam” is a joint project of the Save the Children and implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Training (Department of the Ethnic minority education as the lead agency) in the three provinces of Yen Bai, Quang Tri and Dien Bien. The project is funded by a grant from the Japanese Social Development Fund (JSDF Grant No. TF093411), a trust fund managed by the World Bank. The total grant is USD1,809,000. Lux-Development, the Executing Agency for Bilateral Co-operation financed by the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, is assisting the Provincial People’s Committee (PPC) of Cao Bang and a number of technical line ministries and departments by delivery of international and national TA and capacity building to implement the initiative called “Developing Business with the Rural Poor”, which is part of a province-wide programme in the Cao Bang province - predominantly designed by- and financed through- loan support from the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), commenced in mid-2008.
