PROGRAM PHILOSOPHY The mission of Helen Keller International (HKI) is to save the sight and lives of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged by combating the causes and consequences of blindness and malnutrition. We do this by establishing programs based on evidence and research in vision, health and nutrition. In Vietnam, Helen Keller International has been supporting the blindness prevention program in partnership with the Vietnam National Institute of Ophthalmology (VNIO), also known as the National Eye Hospital (NEH) in Hanoi since 1990. Currently, we are working with our partners in Kon Tum to conduct our Childsight Program on Refractive Error for children in Kon Tum city, Kon Tum province.
