Administrative Officer

CARE International in Vietnam is a Non-Government Organization representing the CARE International network in Vietnam since 1989. CARE in Vietnam’s Program Strategy is explicitly oriented around achieving impacts for particularly vulnerable and marginalised groups in Vietnam. To achieve this, we work with Vietnamese partners across sectors such as health services, rural livelihood development, disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation. We recognise that women’s empowerment is a critical pathway for poverty reduction and place women and girls from marginalised population groups at the heart of our programming efforts.
CARE in Vietnam is looking for an experienced and qualified Vietnamese to fill in Administrative Officer, base in An Giang province.
Position information
Position title:     Administrative Officer
Contract:          6 months contract with potential for extension
Base in:            An Giang with travel to project sites as required
Position Summary

This position is directly in charge of implementing all project administrative and logistic activities and provides assistance to financial and procurement activities in An Giang office to ensure the smooth operation of project activities implementation
Main duties
- Conduct administrative duties related to all aspects of project implementation in An Giang office;
- Arrange all necessary logistics for project activities such as workshops, training programs  including accommodation booking, photocopying materials, making arrange transport arrangements;  
- Provide support to An Giang Procurement Officer to ensure project procurement activities are in line with CARE in Vietnam’s procurement policies and procedures;
- Provide support in financial activities in line with CARE in Vietnam’s financial management systems.
- Maintain effectively communication system and ensure information flow within the  project and between the project and relevant stakeholders;
- Participate in regular monitoring visits to ensure the quality of the project administration undertaken by the project partners in project sites;
- Contribute to managing information on project processes and the preparation of  reports on project activities in agreed formats;
- Manage and regularly physical  project assets/inventories verification to ensure their right purpose of use;
- Ensure the efficient operation of the An Giang project office and provide administration, logistics support to other project work stations (if any) in relation to the project when required;
- Ensure security and safety for An Giang project office and for those who are travelling for project purposes;
- Provide support for other projects’ activities as requested by the Project Manager and the Senior Project Officers; and
- Undertake any other duties as reasonable requested by supervisors and in line with organizational priorities;
Selection Criteria
- Relevant degree
- Two year experience to the position;
- Good administrative skills;
- Ability to work effectively as a team member and with minimal supervision;
- Familiarity with the project area and local residence will be an asset; and
- Willing to be based in the field;
