Accounts Coordinator

LIN Center for Community Development is a not-for-profit organization with the mission to help local people to meet local needs. On the one hand, LIN provides support to locally initiated not-for-profit organizations and groups that seek to improve access to opportunities for disadvantaged populations.
Such support could include small grants, introductions to skilled volunteers, workshops, networking and information sharing. On the other, LIN provides advisory and support services to individual and corporate philanthropists that want to serve, or better serve, the communities where they live and/or work. POSITION DESCRIPTION

The LIN Center for Community Development is seeking a high caliber candidate for the position of Accounts Coordinator for Philanthropic Advisory Services (PAS). This person is responsible for coordinating LIN activities relating to the donor community as well as with LIN consultants who are working on PAS projects. The Accounts Coordinator is in charge of the administrative management of all PAS client projects, organizing networking and capacity building events and sharing information and best practices to benefit the donor community. He/she will implement the marketing and communications strategy for PAS, ensuring a positive profile for the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary roles and responsibilities of the Accounts Coordinator include:   
- Client/Project Coordination – Establish and maintain a solid relationship with LIN clients (representing the donor community in Vietnam) and international donors interested in supporting Vietnam based NPOs.

  • Provide administrative support to PAS Director and Consultants in the preparation and follow-up of client meetings (may include translation/interpretation, taking and distributing notes).
  • Check-in with PAS clients, throughout and also upon conclusion of projects to ensure complete satisfaction and/or to address client concerns.
  • Check-in with project consultants in order to update the project pipeline and collect project materials.
  • Maintain and update a project pipeline to ensure that resources are allocated effectively and project deadlines are met.
  • Respond to phone calls and emails from current or prospective clients and follow through as necessary.
  • Refer substantive questions to PAS Director.
  • Develop and regularly update donor contact database.

- Event Coordination –

  • Provide administrative and logistical support for on-going and special events including networking and capacity building workshops and information sessions.
  • Evaluate event results through satisfaction surveys, follow-up interviews, etc. for reporting purposes and improvements for future events.

- Marketing & Communications –

  • Network with prospective clients at local and international events and follow-up.
  • Along with the Director of PAS, attend meetings with prospective clients to promote LIN services.
  • Prepare and update marketing materials.
  • Update LIN website with relevant news, events and other information.
  • Draft LIN blogs with interesting content to maintain and attract donors.
  • Coordinate with LIN staff to update Facebook status and upload event info and photos.
  • Contribute articles for monthly LIN newsletters (General / Volunteer).

- Resource Management –

  • Supplement and update a directory of grantmaking organizations (organizations based in Vietnam and international organizations making grants in Vietnam).
  • Collect and disseminate news and resources relating to community investment, individual and corporate philanthropy, CSR, and the like.

In addition, the Accounts Coordinator will have administrative duties including the following:
- Maintain electronic files, clear hardcopy records and timely submission of reports on project work and expenditures (including timesheets).
- Contribute to the project pipeline on a monthly basis (including both internal and external activities).
- Translate documents and/or supervise translation by staff and/or volunteers.

REQUIREMENTS
Education: University degree in community development, communications, marketing or a relevant field.

Experience:
- Sales, marketing, customer service or business development experience especially in the private sector
- Public relations and/or project coordination experience (desired)
- Familiarity with community development, CSR, NPOs and related issues (desired)
- Experience writing articles and/or marketing materials.

Skills:
- Must be highly organized and able to plan work without much supervision
- Ability to multitask and perform effectively under pressure
- Good communication skills (both written and oral) in Vietnamese and English
- Ability to network and communicate effectively with various audiences including senior level professionals and heads of companies/organizations and potentially high net worth individuals
- Must be an independent thinker with strong ability to analyze and problem solve
- Good computer skills and Web 2.0 savvy
