JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
POST: ACCOUNTANT FOR CRAFT LINK

Craft Link is a Vietnamese not-for-profit, Fair trade organization which helps Ethinc minority groups, disadvantaged people and traditional craft producers to revive their culture and improve their livelihoods through handicraft production and marketing. Craft Link links producers to new markets and builds self-sufficiency and self-reliance for producers. Sales profit is used to fund various handicraft development projects with activities such as business training, product development and market awareness. Craft link seeks to ensure that producers receive a fair wage and work in reasonable conditions which do not threaten their health or that of the environment.

Craft Link is currently looking for a qualified Vietnamese to fill in Accountant position  (for a 9 months contracted accountant).

Duty station: This position will be based in Hanoi.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Accountant will work under the direct supervision of the Finance Department Chief (and/or GM), in completing the following duties:

Maintain records of all expenditures related to Craft Link’s business, keeping them transparent and up-to-date and always ready for accessibility.

• Prepare requests for payment, review and approval of application for payment forms for signature by the GM.
• Be responsible for the preparation of all finance reports and status of finances to the GM
• Supervise and report to the GM on financial transactions such as banking and payment of Craft Link.
• Be responsible for ensuring timely transactions from the central to local accounts.
• Be responsible for updating all sales records into accounting software
• Liaise with banks and artisans on related issues.
• Other tasks as directed by the Finance Department Chief or GM (whenever relevant).

Minimum Qualifications Required:

• University degree in finance, accounting
• At least 2 years of working experience
• Proficiency in using of Microsoft office tool
• Proficiency in using of Fast accounting software (Preferable)
• Demonstrated team spirit, and independent skills
• Good command of English is an asset.
