Purpose: Social & Scientific Systems, Inc. (SSS) is opening an office in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam to support research activities in Vietnam that are conducted as part of Southeast Asia Infectious Disease Clinical Research Network (SEA ICRN). The main objective of the SEA ICRN project is to support the development and implementation of research studies at selected sites. The SSS office in Vietnam will manage the clinical, administrative and business operations associated with the research activities, reporting back to the SSS Management Team at corporate headquarters, located in Silver Spring, Maryland, USA.

Responsibilities: Oversees the financial administration of contract activities for Social & Scientific Systems, Inc. (SSS) office in Ho Chi Minh City. S/he will ensure that the financial policies and procedures are implemented and followed in accordance with SSS’s USA headquarters requirements. Responsible for budget development and tracking, providing complete and accurate financial reports to the USA office, and assisting with procurement and vendor payments. S/he will provide support in other finance areas as necessary and maintain a positive working relationship with SSS’s USA-based staff.

Qualifications: A university degree in accounting/economy/finance. 5 – 7 years of accounting or financial administration experience. Good working knowledge of Excel, Peachtree a plus. Experience with international accounting practices. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work in a team environment. English language fluency is required.
