The Fred Hollows Foundation

The Fred Hollows Foundation (FHF) is an Australian-based, not-for-profit, community-based, non-government development aid organisation. We believe that everyone has the right to sight. We hold a vision of a world where no one is needlessly blind and where Indigenous Australians enjoy the same health and life expectancy as other Australians. We are dedicated to facilitating comprehensive and quality eye care, with a focus on cataracts. Through skills training programmes and the development of new technologies, the Foundation builds sustainable local capacity to prevent and treat avoidable blindness in developing countries.
