Site Coordinator Project Assistant

Medecins du Monde (MDM), a “solidarity association” since 1980, is dedicated to improving health conditions of the most vulnerable populations, the victims of poverty & violence, regardless of race, social status and beliefs. MDM believes its mission can be achieved by means of sustainable solutions to health access problems. In Asia, MDM priority is the fight against HIV/AIDS as the disease discriminates against the most marginalized populations.
 
They are seeking a qualified and experienced Vietnamese candidate for the position of Site Coordinator Project Assistant, HCMC-based, starting in March 2010. Salary is based on competencies and competitive to other international NGOs.

Main Responsibility:
The main duty of Site Coordinator Project assistant is to assist the Site Coordinator with overall coordination of the project, to collaborate in the coordination of MDM HCMC program and to establish good communication and coordination with Vietnamese partners and authorities.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
a. Participating and facilitating the team communication (interpreting and translation work, designing agenda, writing minutes…)
b. Coordination of Program (assisting the coordinator team with the overall coordination of the programme, organizing events, meetings, etc. in conjunction with the MdM team, planning of activities…)
c. Liaison with partners and authorities (networking, information sharing…)
b. Sharing of information and reporting (collecting and consolidating information for non-financial reports, participation to PAC weekly coordination meeting, sharing of information with PAC…)

Skills / Requirements:
B.A degree university
Fluent in English
Knowledge or experience of non-governmental organisations (NGOs) would be an asset.
Public health background would be a strong
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work as part of a team, flexibility and team spirit
Wide connections within local or iNGOs;
Talent in negotiating and dealing with practical issues;
Diligent, factual, and sense of anticipation;
Computing proficiency in Word and Excel
