Project Assistant cum Interpreter

The project “Study on policy recommendations to support for development of small and medium enterprises in agricultural sector and rural areas – phase II + III ” (SMEs project) is sponsored by Spanish International Cooperation Agency (AECID) for the duration of 2 years of 2009-2010 with the purpose of providing policy recommendations to facilitate the growth of agricultural and rural SMEs in Vietnam so as to generate more employment for rural labor, increase rural incomes and promote the competitive power of enterprises.
The Institute of Policy and Strategy for Agriculture and Rural development (IPSARD) is assigned as an implementation agency for the SMEs project with Project Management Unit (PMU) based in the Institute. In order to deploy the activities of phase II + III, PMU is looking for experienced and qualified Vietnamese candidates for 01 position of Project Assistant cum Interpreter. The job description and requirements are:

PROJECT ASSISTANT CUM INTERPRETER
- Assist the PMU and the international advisor in preparing plans and logistics, organising workshops, trainings, trips, etc;
- Carry out core administrative duties such as drafting correspondence, taking notes at meeting as a basis for minutes, filing of documents, general mailing and correspondence;
- Liaise with partners, local authorities, ministries and related agencies
- Arrange appointments and meetings;
- Interpret bilingual communication at meetings, workshops, training courses, field trips and others as assigned by Project Management Unit (PMU);
- Translate documents and reports assigned by PMU ;
- Assist other activities of the project as required.

Requirements
- University degree (good ranking or above) in English and management;
- At least 2 year working experience in similar positions, experience with ODA projects, working and/or studying in English speaking country are preferable;
- Good skills in MS Office software is essential;
- Knowledge and experience in the field of enterprise, agriculture and rural policy formulation and development is an advantage
- Good team work and communication skills.
