Pathfinder International (PI) is a US-based NGO whose mission in Viet Nam is to improve reproductive health through capacity building and policy-focused initiatives that respond to the needs of the society.  To this end, PI supports efforts to strengthen pre-service and in-service training in reproductive health (RH), youth-friendly services and HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment. In addition, PI works to strengthen reproductive health management practices and policies supportive of quality RH including HIV/AIDS training and services. Pathfinder International in Vietnam is seeking qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Program Assistant for Private Sector In-service Training and Policy program.
The purpose of this program is to enhance the quality of primary health care by strengthening and expanding the continuing medical education system in Vietnam, with particular attention to enhancing the organizational capacity of PMAs to meet in-service training needs and to provide policy advice to the Ministry of Health on training and quality of care.
The program also attempts to promote the engagement of private sector in HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment in Vietnam.     

The Program Assistant assists administratively and logistically his/ her team members in preparation and implementation of the project activities including project planning, budgeting and reporting.  

Requirements: 
- At least one year of professional experience in health and/or development programs
- University degree
- Fluent oral and written English
- Highly responsible, organized person
- Strong  written and verbal translations skill  (English and Vietnamese)
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong computer and information technology skills
- Able to work both independently and as team member
- Able to work under pressure, meet deadlines
- Able and willing to travel within Vietnam
- Previous experience with an international organization and/or government agency is preferred
