Position Overview:
The Reading Room Program Associate will assist and report to the Reading Room Program Officer.  She.he will provide logistical and organizational assistance to the RRPO in implementing the Reading Room Program.  Her/his primary responsibilities will assist the Reading Room Program Team with book selection, selecting,book procurement, book leveling and delivery  to Room to Read libraries.  She/he will also assist the Team with the training activities, school visits and other relevant events,
This position might involve frequent travel to districts in which Reading Room Program is implementing on need basis.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Giving support to locals, schools and field facilitators and trainers as needed.
2. Assisting with field visits of Country Office, Regional Office, Global Office, Donors.
3. Assisting with the training activities, and other events by Reading Room Team
4. Completing basic reports and documentation on field activities
5. Participating in book/ other resources for libraries selection, leveling and delivery to program schools
6. Assisting with the communication between Reading Room Program and schools on program activities
7. Participating in meetings, conferences, workshops that are relevant to Reading Room Program
8. Assisting the Reading Room Program Team with regular visits to program schools
9. Performing other tasks as required by Reading Room Program Officer/Program Manager.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or social sciences.
- Minimum one year of professional experience in relevant area of work
- Experience in successful implementation of a wide range of tasks.
- Ability to travel frequently and spend time in the field.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English.

Preferred:
- Experience of working with INGOs working on education
- Prior experience of working in rural and / or urban areas.
- Prior experience in working with children or youth.

Compensation:
The salary range for this position will be determined based upon the experience of the candidate hired. Health benefits are also provided.
