Farewell Paul and Welcome Louisa!

This month was the last month for Mr. Paul Griffiths as the Information Technology (IT) Advisor at the VUFO-NGO Resource Centre (NGO RC). Paul was recruited through Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO) and has spent almost two years helping the NGO RC to transition its electronic operations into a whole new era. He has been instrumental in restructuring our IT infrastructure; expanding our resources; improving security; fixing problems; and proposing new ideas. Paul has been a true team player; hard working; innovative; and always supportive of his colleagues. We wish him a safe journey back to the United Kingdom and we miss him already!

At the same time, we are very pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Louisa Hartnett, our new IT Advisor. The NGO RC is fortunate to welcome yet another excellent professional recruited by VSO! Louisa comes from Ireland with extensive experience in Computer Science and Information Technology. She has an impressive professional resume and a wide range of skills. After spending only a few weeks in Hanoi, Louisa has already become the most popular member of the team thanks to her cheerful nature and unlimited knowledge of IT. Please join us in welcoming Louisa to the NGO RC team!

There are four Working Group meetings coming up in November: Climate Change Working Group on 5 November (14:00 hrs); Child Right Working Group on 9 November (14:00 hrs); Disability Working Group on 12 November (14:00 hrs); and Disaster Management Working Group on 13 November (14:00 hrs). All meetings will take place at NGO RC. Please check our calendar section for more details.

Warm greetings from the VUFO-NGO Resource Centre's Team!
