National Technical Assistant

Luxembourg Development, the Executing Agency for Bilateral Co-operation financed by the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, assists the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) to implement the project. VIE/031  “Strengthening of Human Resources in the Hospitality and Tourism Industry in Vietnam” which has a duration of 3 years.
The overall objective is to supply the hospitality and tourism industry in key tourist zones identified by the GoV with qualified personnel, and the specific objective is to increase the quantity and to improve the quality of graduates from selected tourism schools/colleges through upgraded capacity of schools to deliver practice-oriented and demand-driven training.
The Lux-Development project support team, lead by a Chief Technical Advisor  is looking for candidates to fill the following position:
01 NATIONAL TECHNICAL ASSISTANT (NTA)

Key responsibilities:
- Assist in coordination and supervision of planning,  implementation and monitoring of project activities in Hanoi, Hai Phong, Hue, Danang, Dalat, Nha Trang, HCMC, Vung Tau and Can Tho;
- Plan, coordinate and monitor capacity building and training activities for participants from 9 tourism training institutes;
- Draft ToRs, design tables, timelines and activity plans, calculate budgets, prepare and hold presentations at meetings, workshops and seminars.

Minimum requirements:
- Degree / Certification as Tourism Skills Teacher or Master Trainer;
- Degree / Certification in Education Management and / or Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET);
- Degree / Certification in a Hotel Operations Profession or Tourism Services profession is an advantage;
- A minimum of 5 years of practical work experience in the hospitality and tourism services sector;
- International work experience in the tourism sector is an advantage;
- Experience in human resource development in the tourism sector.
