Manager; Project Assistants
World Vision Vietnam (WVV) invites competent Vietnamese candidates for the following positions:
1. Manager (1 position) working for the Area Development Program (ADP) in Phu Cu district, Hung Yen province. Deadline for application: 8 October
2009.
Area Development Program (ADP) is an approach to child focused development, emphasizing the process of community participation, sustainability, and integrating activities in the areas of food security, agriculture, micro-enterprise, health, nutrition, education, water, and sanitation.
Main Responsibilities: To lead the ADP Team in working with the community to design project plan, to implement project activities, to monitor and
evaluate progress, and to transfer the ownership of the development of the ADP to the community members.
Requirements:
- University graduate in any field, preferably in education, health, community development, or social studies.
- At least 3 years relevant work experience in community development including demonstrated capacity in program management.
- Well-developed representation and negotiation skills.
- Experience in managing and supervising staff, with strong liaison and interpersonal skills.
- Well-developed writing and oral communications skills in English.
2. PROJECT ASSISTANT – Monitoring and Evaluation cum Capacity Building (1 position) working for the Area Development Programs in Dien Bien Dong district, Dien Bien province. Deadline for application: 11 October 2009.
Main Responsibilities: This position aims to support WV Vietnam to improve the quality of Capacity Building Project in Dien Bien Dong ADP and to
improve the quality of Design, Implementation, Monitoring, Evaluation (DIME) system of the ADP.
Requirements:
- University/College graduate, preferably in Pedagogy, Sociology, Community Development, Economics or related fields.
- At least 1 year working experiences in community development.
- Knowledge and work experience on Monitoring & Evaluation and management of information systems is preferred.
- Good skills in training and capacity building.
- Basic English skills with good reading skills.
3. PROJECT ASSISTANT - Agriculture (1 position) working for the Area Development Program in Thuong Xuan district, Thanh Hoa province.
Deadline for application: 11 October 2009.
Main Responsibilities:
To assist the ADP Manager in planning, managing, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the relevant project activities to achieve stipulated
objectives.
Requirements:
- University/College graduate in agriculture.
- At least 1-2 years relevant or community development working experience.
- Experience in program implementation and participatory approach.
- Basic English skills with good reading skills.
Common requirements:
- Good computer skills (word processing, excel).
- Work at district level.
World Vision Vietnam is a Christian non-government organization.
